Into The Woods (Ohio)

I been gone from this blog for about a month now! No, I’ve not forgotten about it. I been settling down from school, went on a two week vacation to Ohio with the love and I been job hunting! I am trying to find time this week to share with you my amazing experience in Ohio. It’s so beautiful and green! Anyways, I do have posts lined up ready to go, just need some time to figure out my schedule. I have been re-doing my bedroom and thinking I might share some pictures, although it isn’t done yet.

Early Morning Jog to “Sun Models” by Odesza ft. Madelyn Grant

Went on a beautiful morning jog on this wonderful trail!

I don’t think many people know about this trail behind my house, which is sort of a good thing. It mainly feels like it’s designed for me. There is something about this trail that just makes me feel so alive, I’m not sure if it’s all the plants, flowers, and little critters. There’s a slight sweet scent when I’m running through here, especially in the evenings during dusk. I’ve snapped a few pictures of this place before, but the colors were really popping today!

The trail is quite short actually, it’s about a mile long, therefore I run back and forth or just walk. I also been listening to a fun little song called Sun Models by Odesza ft. Madelyn GrantSuch a cool song, it’s fun, flirty, and just makes you feel good. Take a listen!

My Favorite Love Poem: by Pablo Neruda

” I do not love you as if you were salt-rose or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride,
so I love you because I know no other way than this:

Where I does not exists, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep. “

– Pablo Neruda
